We gather today to celebrate the life of Michael Mingo, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Michael was a man of laughter, kindness, and generosity, known for his love of family, tending to his yard with care, or casting a fishing line into the water, he found happiness in the everyday moments. He had a natural ability to make people feel welcome, whether sitting on the porch sharing stories or taking a ride to greet everyone he knew. He never met a stranger, always had a friendly word to share, and made sure those around him felt valued and appreciated.
Though he has departed from this world, Michael’s spirit will live on in the countless memories we hold dear. His legacy of love will forever be a part of those who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his two brothers, Larry and Russell (Peggy) Mingo; nieces, Sharena Lightfoot, Tori (Brennon) Richard, Kristina (Travis Sr.) Mitchell, Erica Blackburn.
He is preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae Brown Mingo, his mother Rose Malveaux, his father L J Mingo, his brothers Lawrence Mingo, Cody Mingo, Merrit Mingo and Adam Mingo. He leaves behind a loving family, cherished friends.
As we say goodbye, we find peace in knowing that Michael is resting in the arms of the Lord, reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit will continue to shine in our hearts forever.
Rest in peace, Michael. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
