Brenda Marie Rosby-Surratt

Brenda Marie Rosby-Surratt, a devoted mother and distinguished professional, transitioned peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Morganton, NC, at the age of 77.

Brenda was defined by her pursuit of excellence. A true "higher learner," she graduated with a degree in Business Administration. She brought that same level of precision and dedication to a long career with the State of North Carolina, from which she retired.

When not working or volunteering with the Red Cross, Brenda could be found exploring the world through travel or the pages of a good book. She held a special place in her heart for animals and cherished her pets deeply.

She is reunited in peace with her parents, Robert and Catherine Rosby, and her husband, Henry Surratt. Her memory is carried on by her children, Rey Howell, Laverne Howell, and Kanika Jackson, and a multitude of grandchildren who will miss her wisdom and presence.

To honor Brenda’s life, the family will gather for a private ceremony to share memories and say their final goodbyes.
