Charles Harvey Davis Jr.

Mr. Charles Harvey Davis, Jr., 59, of Fairburn, GA, went to his Heavenly Home, Friday, December 6, 2013. Born January 4, 1954, in Burke County, NC, he was a son of Charles Harvey Davis. Sr. of Morganton and the late Lucille Martin Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of the New Life AME Zion Church of College Park, GA and a member of the Shiloh AME Church, Morganton while residing in NC. Mr. Davis dearly loved his family and grandchildren and was a daily encouragement to them.

In addition to his father, Mr. Davis will lovingly be remembered by his loving wife of 28 years, Vanessa Ervin Davis, of the home;

Three daughters, Tanya Edwards & husband, Sampson, of Athens, GA, Brittany Davis, of Fairburn, GA and Natalie Davis, of the home;

Five brothers, Terry Davis, Jerry Davis & wife, Rita, James Rutherford & wife, Elizabeth, Donald Davis & wife, Stephanie and Ronald Davis & wife, Amy, all of Morganton, NC;

Four sisters, Agnes Howell, Bonnie Smith & husband, George, Charlie Mae Davis & husband, Johnny and Katherine Davis, all of Morganton, NC;

Four grandchildren, Taija Forney, Jaden Edwards, London Davis and Camryn Wimberly;

Six aunts, Louise Kanipe, Jessie Martin, Georgia Jefferies, Amelia Fleming, Allica Martin and Octavia Thomas;

Two uncles, Sherman Martin and Henry Martin, Jr.;

A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones will also lovingly remember him.

A Home Going Service and Celebration of Mr. Davis’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the Shiloh AME Church. Interment will follow at the Shiloh AME Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the Church.
