Clines "Ray" Hughes

Ray worked his whole life in construction.

Along with his parents, Ray is preceded in death by his beloved wife Laura Geralene Smith Hughes; a daughter, Lisa Johnson; and four brothers, Homer, Jessie, Renis and Tommy.

Those left behind to cherish Ray's memory include his daughter, Vickie Loveless and her fiancé Larry Brown; a grandson, Craig Loveless; a granddaughter, Iva Smart and her husband Ryan; two great grandsons, Damian and Ethan Freeman; a great-great granddaughter, Delaney Freeman; a brother, Doug Hughes and his wife Betty; two sisters, Jean Patton and Linda Johnson; and caregivers, Christie Johnson and Mike Randolph. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Kirksey Funeral Home. The funeral service will start at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow at Burke Memorial Park.
