Darron James Aitken

Darron was a beloved son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, and a delight to everyone who knew him. He had a kind heart, a strong spirit and a smile that could light up any room.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Vickie Bartley and Yen Knowles; grandfathers, James Bartley and John Aitken; great grandparents, Betty and Don Snyder.

Those left to cherish his memory is his mother, Thuy Hoang Aitken; father, John David Aitken; sisters, Amber Barela (husband, Ronny), Brittany Aitken, and Ciara Aitken; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cousins, friends, and two cats, Chi and Elliot, who loved him dearly.

Darron enjoyed gaming, attending concerts, playing D&D, working out, traveling, and had dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Through his selfless gift of organ donation, Darron gave others the chance at life reflecting his generous and heroic spirit.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Morganton, NC from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.
