David Alan Grose

David Alan Grose, age 50, of Morganton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at his residence. David was born to Richard J. Grose and Elizabeth Houser Grose on December 14, 1965 in Smyrna, TN.

David served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1985 to 1989, and worked as a Network Technician at Western Piedmont Community College. David was a loving husband, son, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.

David is preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Grose.

Those left behind to cherish David’s memory include his wife Kim Amundson Grose of the home; his mother, Elizabeth H. Grose of Gastonia; two brothers, Richard W. Grose and his wife, Matilde of Mobile, AL and Michael L. Grose of Gastonia; a sister, Teresa G. Tessner and partner, Cathy Cawthorne of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home with Rev. JR Richards officiating. Military Honors will follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
