Edward Wayne Grider

Edward "Bud" Wayne Grider, age 71, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. Bud was born the son of the late George Grider and Catherine Houston Grider on June 20, 1951 in Orleans, Indiana.

Bud served his country honorably in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Bud will be missed.

Along with his parents, Bud is preceded in death by a grandson, Trent Franklin; a great grandson, Kamdyn Bennett; and a sister, Beverly Elliot.

Those left behind to cherish Bud's memory include his wife of 47 years, Janice Lynette Jordan Grider of the home; four daughters, Mary Swetlik and her husband Arik of Valdese, Jessica Neagler and her husband Jason of Springfield, MO, Sandy Hall and her husband Tim of Jonesboro, TN, and Laura Grider of Morganton; two sons, Lucas Grider and his wife Amy of Marion and Joshua Grider and his wife Crystal of Morganton; 15 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Daughtery and Georgie Grider, both of Paoli, IN. Bud is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

No services are scheduled at this time.
