Ernest Woodrow Dellinger, 81, of Cherryville died Saturday, May 15, 2021 with his family by his side. Ernest was born to the late Edward Woodrow Dellinger and Margaret Inez Mauney on June 11, 1939 in Gaston Co. North Carolina.
Ernest worked many years as a shipping supervisor at Southern Devices in Morganton.
Along with his parents Edward and Margaret, Ernest is preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Brooks Dellinger, and son Barry Scott.
Those left to cherish his memories is his daughter; Terry Dellinger and husband Jerry Vanhorn, sons; Jerry, Gary, and Perry Dellinger, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and sister; Sue Lackey (Elwyn) along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Dellinger Family has entrusted Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton with arrangements.
