Gregory Lafe Bowen

Greg was born to the late Lafayette Bowen and Alice Joanne Estep Bowen on May 21, 1954 in Logan County, West Virginia. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Navy. Greg had retired from Molded Fiberglass in 2016. His favorite pastime was listening to Bluegrass Music and picking his banjo. Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; who loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Those left behind to cherish Greg's memory include his wife of 29 years, Donna Gail Adkins Bowen of the home; five children, Jeremy Bowen (Mandy) of Man, WV, Shawn Gregory Bowen of Morganton, Douglas Osborne (Dondi) of Whitman, WV; Tina Chambers of Holden, WV and Richard Osborne of Morganton, NC; a sister, Alice Rose Barker of Morganton; nine grandchildren, Laura, Eric, Jessica, Jamie, Hannah, Cody, Wade, Carter and Abi; and eight great grandchildren. Greg is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, coworkers and friends.

A "Celebration of Life" memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the Lundale Free-Will Baptist Church in Lundale, West Virginia with the Rev. Bobby Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
