Harrison H Whisenant Jr.

Harrison “POP” H. Whisenant, Jr. age 84, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 after several months of declining health. He was the owner of Whisenant Roofing for nearly 50 years in Burke County and Cleveland, Ohio

Born Saturday, February 25, 1933 in Burke County. Pop was a son of the late Harrison H. Whisenant, Sr. and Gladys Miller Whisenant.

Along with his parents, Pop is preceded in death by a son, Allen E. Whisenant; two sisters, Virginia W. Moses and Edna W. Stillwell; and an infant brother.

Thoses left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, June Dutton Whisenant; five daughters, Brenda J. Whisenant, Teresa W. Browning and her husband Doff, Debbie A. Calfee and her husband Kirk, Cindy L. Whisenant; and Vickie L. Whisenant, all of Morganton. Pop is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 126 in Morganton. Mr. Roger Patton will provide the eulogy.
