Jimmy Wayne Webb

Jimmy was born in Burke County, North Carolina, on December 4, 1946, to the late James Wesley & Mary Sue Benfield Webb. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Morganton and was a furniture worker with Henredon Furniture where he retired after many years of dedicated service. Prior to a decline in health, Jimmy enjoyed racing and working on cars. He enjoyed listening to country music and loved spending time with his dog, Snoopy. Jimmy will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James “Pete” Webb, Bob Webb, and Ken Webb; and a special friend, Susie Barrier.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, survivors include three sisters, Helen Ledford & husband Dillard of Morganton, Margie Pearson of Morganton, and Brenda Long & husband Gary of Hickory; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Zion Baptist Church in Morganton with Pastor Keith Rose and Rev. Steve Parker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the Church.
