Johnny Bernard Abernathy

Johnny was born December 20, 1963, in Catawba County to the late Johnny Hilton Abernathy and Ruby Jolley Blake of Conover, NC.

Those left to cherish his memories include his Sons; Deon Abernathy of Mooresville, Christen Abernathy of Hickory, Daughters; Maranda Abernathy of Hickory, Jalyn and Judith Abernathy both of Kingsport, TN, Sister; Melane (Jesse) Williams of Newton, Brother; Derrick Jolly of Newton, Granddaughter; Kenadi Abernathy of Mooresville. Also surviving are two special cousins, Tonya Early of Newton, NC., and Tammy Powell, special aunts Mary Frances Powell, and Judy Howell, and friend Cora Poole.

Johnny will be missed by his family and friends for his smiling face, caring & forgiving soul, and most of all his infectious smile.

Celebration of Johnny’s Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2022, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton 406 Lenoir Rd. Morganton, NC 28655. Pastor Peggy Geter, Officiating.
