She was born in a log cabin in Burke County in 1923.
She loved Jesus, her family, and poetry. She often until her passing could quote poems at length.
She attended Mull elementary and Morganton High. She worked at various jobs including factory,
Breeden's, and the school for the deaf.
She also grew up working on the family farm. But, her most loved job was housewife and mother.
She attended Brookwood Baptist church for over 24 years, and Pleasant Hill Baptist church as a child.
She joins in heaven her husband, mother, father, brother and five sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Kirksey Funeral Home.
