Martha Rebecca Wilson, 76, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, May 29, 2010. Born April 22, 1934, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late Cleve Johnson and Beatrice Johnson Surratt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Wesley McClain Wilson and a sister, Cora Ann Morris.
Left to mourn her passing is a sister, Fredricka S. Corpening, of Morganton;
a brother, Charles Clark, of Queens, NY;
a sister-in-law, Mary Sue Ervin;
a brother-in-law, Nathaniel Wilson;
Her passing will also be mourned by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilson will be held 12:00PM, Friday, June 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Kirksey Funeral Home, Morganton, with the Reverend Eddie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Mission AME Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The family will gather at all other times at the residence of Fredricka Corpening.
