Pamela was born on September 24, 1952 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Edward S. Suder and Ollie E. Fenner Suder.
Pamela was of the Episcopal faith and a member of St Mary’s-St Stephen’s Episcopal Church. She retired from employment with Legal Aid of North Carolina with more than 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering, traveling, and dedicated her life to fighting for those less fortunate.
In addition to her father, Pamela was preceded in death by her brothers Kourtlen "Kourt" Suder-Bilal and Stanley "Tank" Suder.
Those left to cherish her memories include her mother, Ollie Suder, sons, Tafathali H. Hemphill (Joellen) of Elizabeth City, NC and USAF Colonel Johari J. Hemphill (Jennifer) of Wichita, KS; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held for Pamela at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at St Mary's-St Stephen's Episcopal Church at 140 St Mary’s Church Rd Morganton, NC 28655. Rev. Logan C. Lovelace will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
In addition to the flowers and plant a tree option, I would like to add a donation link for Morganton Habitat for Humanity, where my mom dedicated a lot of time over the years to helping families be first-time homeowners, more so their next start in life. Flowers can be sent to St Mary's-St Stephen's Church by Saturday, March 29, 2025.
