Peggy Lynn (Clark) Puett

Peggy Lynn Puett, age 71, of Hudson, beloved wife of 52 years, Clifford Dale Puett, Sr., passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Peggy was born the daughter of the late Lester Luther Clark and Wonna Mae Stamey Clark on September 20, 1952 in Burke County.

Peggy's life was defined by her deep passion for serving others. For over 30 years, she dedicated herself as a compassionate nurse, caring for those in need. Beyond her career, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love touched everyone around her. Peggy's presence will be deeply missed.

Along with her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by two brothers, Hayden and Thomas Clark.

Those left behind to cherish Peggy's memory include her husband Clifford Dale Puett, Sr. of the home; a son, Chip Puett and his girlfriend, Tammy Causby of Granite Falls, and Dustin Puett and his wife, Libby of Gainesville,VA; the "Love of her life", granddaughter, Aubry Puett; and three sisters, Phyllis Whisnant of Newland, Ruth McGee of Morganton and Brenda Brittian of Hudson. Peggy is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton. A "Celebration of Peggy's Life" will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel with Pastor Mark Sharp and Pastor Bobby Pritchard officiating.
