Reverend Randy Leon Queen

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Joyce Hughes Ramsey and a sister, Darlene Madden. A graduate of the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Reverend Queen was Pastor of the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Morganton. He also served as a member of the International Community Evangelism Team, and the North American Missions Board.

Reverend Queen is survived by his father, Joseph Leon Queen and wife, Judy, of Bryson City, NC and his loving wife of over 25 years, Margaret Lamberth Queen of the home; Daughters, Meredith LeAnn Queen, Stephanie Paige Queen and Allison Nicole Queen all of the home; a brother, Dr. Michael Ramsey of Clayton; a sister, Jill Thompson of Bryson City; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church from 2:00 to 3:45 PM. Funeral Services will be held 4:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Donald Harris and Dr. Michael Ramsey officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International, Burke North Camp, P.O. Box 985, Morganton, NC 28655.
