Robert Allen Hunt

Born in Caldwell County on March 29, 1936, Ossie was the son of the late Robert D. Hunt and Gladys Nalls Hunt. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, Atlanta Braves Baseball and NASCAR.

Along with his parents, Ossie is preceded in death by two brothers, John and Jim Hunt, and two sisters, Becky Bishop and Barbara Tavares.

Those left behind to cherish Ossie’s memory include his two daughters, Kathy Brawley (Terry) of Morganton and Lisa Wilcox (Larry) of Lenoir; two sisters, Sarah Williams of Lenoir and Carol Rosso of Washington; three grandchildren, Quentin McNeely, Shanna Hamby and Haily Snyder; and four great grandchildren, Dalton Gilbert, Ashley Hamby, Gracie McNeely and Brody McNeely.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 526 Pine Mountain Rd. Hudson, NC 28638.
