Rodney Wayne Morgan, age 42, of Morganton, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Rodney was born the son of William Edward Morgan and Mary Ella Costner Morgan on January 12, 1970 in Morganton. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Rodney will be deeply missed.
Preceding Rodney in death include his maternal grandparents, William and Etta Costner, and his paternal grandmother, Inez Morgan.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, William and Ella Morgan; his wife, Victoria Morgan; two daughters, Brooke and Bridgette Morgan; a sister, Jody Morgan; and two nephews, Wally Gore and Gabriel O’Neil, all of Morganton.
Memorial services will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday, June, 24, 2012 at McDowell Independent Church with Rev. Dennis Carswell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
