Ronald Wayne Holland

Ronald Wayne Holland, age 61, of Morganton, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care. He was born March 3, 1956 in Burke County to the late Joe Ben Holland and Pansy Owens Holland Biddix of Morganton. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Joe Holland.

Mr. Holland was a mechanic with Gaines Trucking and was of the Christian faith. He graduated from Freedom High School in 1974 as the first graduating class. Ronald also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his beloved pets Ruby, Sammy, and Sheba.

Survivors in addition to his mother include two brothers; Dennis Holland and Gary Lee Holland, of Morganton; a sister-in-law, Peggy Holland; two nephews, Josh Holland and Robert Holland; a niece, Patricia McMillian; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that loved Ronald dearly.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Kirksey Funeral Home and Cremation Services conducted by Rev. Keith Rose. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
