

Susan Janean Dupuis, 59, of Morganton, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Mission Hospital, Asheville. Born July 8, 1954, in Santa Maria, CA, she was the daughter of the late Willie Ray Pledger and to Caroll Frances Baker Pledger, of Morganton. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Pledger. Ms. Dupuis was an active and faithful member of the Denton’s Chapel Methodist Church. She was a huge Carolina Panthers fan! She was on a first name basis with most of the players and took many of the Panther Cruises with them. She recently returned from a Panthers Cruise. Ms. Dupuis was a dedicated and fun loving grandmother and would take her grandchildren to all the Panthers games and enjoy those times together.
Along with her mother, Caroll Frances Baker Pledger, Ms. Dupuis’s memory will be cherished by a son, J.J. Dupuis and Fiance’, Amanda Story, both of Morganton;
Two daughters, Melissa D. Griffin and husband, Jamey and Christal Bustle and husband, Joshua, all of Morganton;
A niece, Samantha Marie Pledger, of Morganton;
Eight grandchildren, Brittany Dupuis, Amber Barber, Dalton Rogers, McKenzie Feimster, Sklyer Dupuis, J.R. Dupuis, Lydia Dupuis and Jayce Bustle will also cherish her memory.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Dupuis will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Bradley A. Thompson and Reverend Roger Brackett officiating. Interment will follow at the Denton’s Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the Church.
