

Bill was born on September 21, 1953, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Bill E. Brooks and Jean (Wunderley) Brooks Linden.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Cheryl L. Kaiser Brooks, siblings; Ted A. Brooks, Gary E. Brooks, Timothy J. Brooks and David A. Brooks.
In Bill’s childhood, he loved hunting and fishing with his siblings and father. He served time in the US Air Force as a surgical Nurse and made his career in the building trades, including his own company, “Brooks Improvements”, in Scottsdale, AZ. His proud contributions included designing and managing large industrial scaffolding projects in Las Vegas, including the new Hoover Dam Bridge, City Center on Las Vegas Boulevard and several casino renovations. Bill and Becky resided there for nearly seven years. He then traveled around the country managing safety operations for natural gas pipline projects and power plants. Bill loved nature, camping, fishing, hunting and is proud to have hiked the Appalachian Trail. He and Becky cherished the times that they spent in Puerto Vallarta exploring the area, including a hidden beach on the Marieta Islands offshore of Punta Mita. Bill’s humor and positive attitude were contagious. He loved spending time with friends and family, Including Becky’s three grandchildren Alayna, Mia and Blake, whom he dearly loved.
Those left to cherish Bill’s memory are his loving wife, Rebecca Brooks, originally from Ohio, who lovingly cared for him in his battle with ALS; Bill’s daughters, Cary and Cady, whom he was very proud of; his sister Carol Rice and husband Jeff along with two sister-in-laws, Laura Brooks and Andrea Brooks.
A Celebration of Life will most likely be held in Genoa, Ohio within the next few months. Family and friends will be notified with the details.
