Anita Jeanne Hopkins, age 50, of Bean Station, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. She was a member of New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Junior Lester; and grandparents, Lester and Georgia Jarnigan and B. P. and Alma Still.
Survivors include her husband, George Hopkins; sons, Matthew Hopkins and fiancé, Stevie Harrison of Bean Station; Aaron Hopkins of Bean Station; grandchildren, Nevaeh Hopkins, Harrison Hopkins; mother, Dorothy McDaniel; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at New Beginnings Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Daryl Ramsey and Rev. Dale Knight officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. on Monday for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at the church from 5 – 7:00 p.m. prior to the services.
