Ardis (Ms. D) DeArmond

ARDIS Moore (Ms. D) DeARMOND, age 94 of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System to go to her eternal home with her late husband Herbert DeArmond, Sr. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for 60 years. As she was known to many as Ms. D, she was a great prayer warrior and loved by all. She retired from the Morristown School System. Ms. D was a Pink Lady at Morristown Hamblen Hospital for 22 years. Mrs. DeArmond was preceded in death by her husband ,Herbert DeArmond, Sr; sons, Herbert DeArmond, Jr and Richard DeArmond; grandson, Donald DeArmond; parents, two brothers and one sister. Ms. D is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Rev. Rev. Johnny Tallent; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Dawn DeArmond of Ms; grandchildren, Tina Catron, Robin (Chuck) Mehaffey, Palmer and Andrew DeArmond, Rick DeArmond and Dawn DeArmond; ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren; brother, Gene (Fern) Moore; special daughter-in-law, Joyce Walker; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family would like to thank Life Care and all of our special CNA’s that took such good care of her and Dr. Rama and the staff at Morristown Hamblen Hospital. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with funeral service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p.m. in Hamblen Memory Gardens for to 3:00 p.m. graveside service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 410 S.
