Carson F. Poole, age 83, went to be with the lord on February 5, 2014 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and served proudly in the Army in the Korean War. He was born in Big Stone Gap, VA where he, along with his loving wife, owned Poole’s Upholstery and Furniture. He was a very loving, devoted father and a faithful Christian. He was preceded in death by his mother, Pearly Poole; father, Worley Poole; and five siblings. He is survived by his love of 60 years, Genese Poole; daughters, Kathy Begley and Leesa Taylor; grandchildren, Tony and Brody; siblings, Elizabeth Parilee, Laura Lou, Douglas and Bobby; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Morningside Baptist Church on Saturday, February 8th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ross Woody officiating. Graveside services will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. VFW Post #5266 will provide military honors. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church prior to the services.
