Daniel Herbert Ward Sr.

Daniel H. Ward, age 65, of Morristown, formerly of Franklin, OH, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at home. He was a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Hancock County and a veteran of the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene; father, Roger E. Ward; and brother, James E. Ward. He is survived by his mother, Gladys Alexander of OH; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Kim Ward of Sneedville; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Steve Johnson of Morristown; grandchildren, Joshua, Caitlyn, and Aaron Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Marty and Fred Prichard of OH; sisters-in-law, Pauline Bright, Alice Cheek, and Wilma Gray of KY, Doris Asher, Opal Martin, and Ruby Ely of TN, Shirley Beamer and Mary Akers of OH, Genny Gregory and Ebby Gray of IN; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Hancock Co. Rev. Lyndal Welch and Rev. Clifton Wilmoth will officiate. Reed Family Singers will be singing. Military graveside service will follow in Johnson Family Cemetery with the Tri-County Honor Guard conducting the service. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 – 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Dr. Peter Sutherland, Nurse Mona, and Nurse Sandra at Healthstar Physicians. Stubblefield Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
