

She is survived by her beloved husband and companion Louis Scheick of 65 years. Daughters: Robin Coffey of Bean Station, TN; Karen (Willie) Wallace of Morristown, TN. Grandchildren: Candice (Sam) Grigsby, Tiffany Coffey, Emily Coffey all of Bean Station, TN; Jennifer Purkey (Mike McGaha – fiancé) of Morristown, TN. Great Grandchildren: Chandler Grigsby (Kenna Davis - fiancé) of Blaine, TN, Colton and Spencer Purkey of Morristown, TN. Nieces: Stacy Maxey (Barry) of Treadway, TN; Connie Leaman (John) of Rogersville, TN, and many great nieces and nephews. Her dearest friends Joyce Johnson, Fay Livesay, Annette Mabe and many amazing friends she’s made along the way.
She is proceeded in death by her parents: Fred and Ruby Livesay, brother: Hugh Kyle Livesay, and nephew: Kyle Livesay all of Kyles Ford, TN.
Eyvonne was born and raised in Kyles Ford, TN, and received Christ at the early age of 13 at Livesay’s Chapel. Eyvonne and Lou were members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Morristown, TN for 40 years. She was an Honor Graduate from Hancock County High in 1953. In 1957 she graduated from Carson Newman College with a degree in Elementary Education. During her college term Eyvonne created a scrapbook that is on display at Carson Newman College. Throughout her career she taught school at Bean Station, Washburn, and Surgoinsville, TN, Camden, NJ, Homestead, FL, and Wall Lake, Michigan for 30 years. During her duration at Bean Station Elementary, she created a family atmosphere with everyone she met, passing down her legacy and knowledge through her students and teachers. During her years of teaching, she touched and inspired many lives. After retiring from the Grainger County School system, she stated, “I need to stay active.” She wrote poetry and some of it was published and took up oil painting for many years. She sold her art at numerous exhibits and gave it to her family and friends.
Eyvonne Scheick will be truly missed by her family and the friends she’s made over her long and productive life.
Visitation with her family will be Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Gordon Smith officiating. Graveside services are to be held on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Hamblen Memory Gardens.
