Gladys Mae Hensley

Gladys M. Hensley, age 87, of Morristown, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at her home. She was a lifelong member of Morrisetts Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elmer Hensley; parents, Milton and Dona Marshall; brother, Richard, C. L., Bob and J. M. Marshall; and sisters, Janie Engle, Irene Russell, and Ethel Marsh.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Don and Ethel Davis of the home; step-grandchildren, Rodney (Kendra) Davis and Karen (Scott) Rines; step-great-grandchildren, Andrea and Mollie Davis, Ally and Braden Rines; sisters-in-law, Byrle, Berdene, and Audrey Marshall; brother-in-law, Alfred Hensley; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The family wishes to thank her special caregivers of Amedisys and Dr. John Short.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Rev. Don Davis and Rev. Barry Warren will officiate. On Thursday, family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. to go in procession to Courtney Cemetery in Whitesburg for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service. Pallbearers will be Jeff Marsh, Doug Marshall, Scott Rines, Rodney Davis, Sam Russell, and Phillip Chandler. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening prior to the services at the funeral home.
