She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D. Brooks; and her parents, James T. Pierce and Leola Whaley Pierce Talkington.
She is survived by her children, Katrina (David) Henderson, Teresa (David) Vineyard, Carolyn (Dennis) Knight, David (Kimberly) Brooks, Mary Jo (Scott) Goodale and Andrea Brooks; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Mary’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 20 from 6-7 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Bethesda Cemetery with Duane Ware officiating.
