She was a member of Cherokee Hills Baptist Church. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves and any UT sports, laughing, a good joke and making others laugh. She took pride in her flowers and had a huge green thumb. But what gave her the most enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her father: William Evans; mother: Nell Haynes Story; her son: Terry Watson; her husband of 61 years, Walter Hugh Watson; siblings: Ruby Shumate, Cleo Eckel, Johnny Evans, Ann Dean and Joyce Johnson.
Mildred leaves behind her; sons: Tracy (Sherry) Watson and Mark (Rachel) Watson. Grandchildren: Sarah, Brandon, Josh, Amber, Hannah, Nate, Jayden and Jordan Watson. Great granddaughters: Charlotte Watson, Eleanor Pham and Annabelle Pham. Sister: Helen Evans and brother: Charlie Evans. Along with many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Hamblen Memory Gardens with Pastor Jesse Bible officiating.
