
Nora’s passion was taking care of others. She had a long and rewarding career as a CNA at Heritage Nursing Home, then continued caring for people in their home as a private duty sitter. Nora touched the lives of many families through her work and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray Emerson Elkins, Sr. and Virginia Myrtle Anderson Elkins; brothers, Lee Roy Elkins and Terry Lee Elkins, Sr.; sister, Patsy Elkins Bartrom; aunt, Gladys Weber; nephew, Terry Lee Elkins, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Ricky Hall.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Mason of Mooresburg; daughters, Malinda Mason of Morristown, and Misty (Shane) Mason Wilson of Bean Station; grandchildren, Evan Mason of Morristown, and Mason and Raean Wilson of Bean Station; brothers, Ray Emerson Elkins, Jr. of WV, Bobby Elkins of OH, Michael (Kathy) Elkins of WV, and Leonard Elkins of OH; sisters, Shirley Elkins Williams of CT, Judy Gail Elkins Hall of WV, Faye (Jim) Elkins Strichko of OH, Lola Musto Cook of WV, Anita Musto Price (missing since 1974) of WV; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be at Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, Mooresburg, on Sunday, January 8th at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Valley View Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church. The family will receive friends at Stubblefield Funeral Home on Saturday, January 7th, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Stubblefield Funeral Home, Morristown.
