Sarah Mattie Parker, age 68, of Morristown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. She was a member of Bean Station Worship Center and retired from Howmet in Morristown. She was preceded in death by her son, William Thomas Parker, Jr.; brother, June Simmons; and her parents.
Survivors include her husband, William Parker; daughter-in-law, Tara Parker; grandchildren, Alona and Amelia Parker; sisters, Lily Rene Simmons and Ruthie Atkins; brother, Elmer Simmons; sisters-in-law, Anna Dell Parker and Nobie Dean Harris; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Frank Allen will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
