He was preceded in death by his parents; William Clarence and Bonnie Kate Dyer, brother; Wilbur Dyer, sister; Mildred Lorraine Dyer and step-son Terry Lynn Pearson.
Survivors include his wife; Norma Dyer, daughter-in-law; Teresa Pearson, brothers; Clarence Leon (Dorothy) Dyer, Charles Wayne Dyer, David Allen (Leslie) Dyer, sisters; Martha Ann (Dawyer) Musick, Mary Maxine (James) Hayes and Myrtle Lee (Ralph) Seahorn.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 9th from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Stubblefield Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7p.m. The family will meet in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Tuesday, October 10th, at 1:45 p.m. for a 2 p.m. military graveside service conducted by post 5266.
