Wanda R. Thomason

Mrs. Thomason was preceded in death by her first husband; J.D. Barbee and her second husband; Joseph B. “Rabbit” Thomason, sons; Randy and Timothy Barbee, parents; George and Ina Kesterson Ragan, grandparents; William and Ellie V. Wampler Ragan and aunt and uncle who raised her after the death of her mother; Lyle and Pearl R. Kesterson, cousins with which she was raised and considered siblings; Verna Lee Massey, Eula Mae Adkins, Avadene Cansler, Irene Radar, and Billy Kesterson, sisters; Emma R. Huff, Mary Nelle R. Wilkerson and Julia Ann Recht, brothers; Charles Ragan and J.E. Ragan.

She is survived by her son; Gregory S. Barbee, nephew; Terry L. Huff who she raised since he was young and considered him as a son, granddaughters; Reagan (Ryan) Green and Jessica Barbee, great grandchildren; Marshall and Lily Green, step children; Ricky Thomason, Susie Carter, and Cindy (Denley) Hines, sister and brother in law; Elizabeth (Ernie) Ford of North Carolina, sisters in law; Linda Ragan and Barbara Ragan of Virginia, daughter in law and close friend; Laurey Barbee, special niece; Connie Wells and great nephew; Weston Wells, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at Stubblefield Funeral Home Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12:00-2:00 pm with the funeral to follow at 2pm with Anthoney Keirsey officiating. Interment will take place at Bethesda Cemetery immediately after the funeral service. Pallbearers; Ryan Green, Weston Wells, Susan B. Taylor, Dennis Cary, Tim Cerise, and Terry Huff, Honorary Pallbearers; Gregory Barbee and Gary Gregg.
