

Patty is survived by her daughters, Kim Lafrance of Mossyrock, Wa., Tamera Greiter of Philomath, Or., and Judy (Warren) Freece of Toledo, Wa.; eight grandchildren Eric (Genny) Greiter, Luke (Gina) LaFrance, Hannah LaFrance, Lindsey (Eric) Sund, Shelby Davis, Rupp Freece, Gib (Jamie) Freece, and Emma Freece; and seven greatgrandchildren Finn, Gus, Lucy, Josephine, Rylee, Kale and Cohen. She is preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Greiter of Morton, Wa. and son Gregory Greiter of Morton, Wa.
Patty was born on July 5, 1932 in Tacoma, Wa. to Lewis and Frances (Niesen) Bennett. She graduated from Morton High School in 1950. She married Gilbert Greiter, her high school sweetheart in 1951. After being away for a few years, Gib and Patty returned to Morton and Gib began coaching and teaching at Morton High School and Pat was a homemaker. Over the next several years, the couple welcomed four children into their home and set about contributing in numerous ways to the Morton community. Upon retirement, the couple moved to Lake Mayfield in Mossyrock, Wa. where Pat and Gib spent the next 20 years boating, waterskiing, fishing and enjoying time with kids and grandkids. For the final 20 years of their lives, they returned to Morton to continue their
happy retirement.
Her children remember her as a kind and loving mother who encouraged supported them throughout their lives. She was a warm and generous individual who loved her family and friends.
A graveside service is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Morton Cemetery, with a potluck reception immediately following at the Tiller Arts Center, 239 West Main St., Morton, Wa. Pastor Joe Martin will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Patty's life.
