Adelita "Linda" Ybanez Scoope

She is preceded in death by her mother, Dora; her brothers, Freddie, Alex, and Louis; her sister, Delia; and her cherished granddaughter, Ashley.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Scoope, she also leaves behind her four children-Dianne Hilburn, Teri Baxter, Dwight Abshire, and Joseph Abshire-who were the center of her world and her greatest source of pride. She is further survived by her brother, Albert Ybanez and sisters, Mary Ann Jacobs, Patricia Warren, and Mary Jane Wilburn, along with numerous grandchildren, extended family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.

Linda was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family. A true family caregiver, she was always the one others turned to for help or comfort, giving of herself freely and without hesitation. Her caring spirit, quiet strength, and boundless love will live on through all those whose lives she touched.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
