

He was born in New Orleans and lived in Topsy Bell. He retired as a superintendent in offshore Construction after 30 years. He previously worked for Conoco. He operated heavy equipment and dozers till recently after his retirement. He farmed soybeans and cattle. He was a member of Topsy Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He always was willing to help others before himself. He enjoyed watching football. He loved his kids and grandkids, as well as his dog, Mickey.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Fontenot of Topsy; son, Bryan A. Fontenot of Dequincy; daughters, Sharilyn Vincent and husband, David of Topsy, Tessy R. Knight of Ft. Collins, Colorado; brothers, Gary Fontenot and wife, Barbara of Dry Creek, Donnie Fontenot and wife, Delores of Sour Lake, TX; sister, Sherry Goos and husband, Frankie of Sulphur; grandchildren, Holly Liotard, Chad Vincent, Chelsea Fontenot, Corey Fontenot, Andrea Knight, Lindsay Knight; great grandchildren, Maeli Liotard, Leighann Vincent and Mattias Liotard.
His funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Rev. Lloyd Carrol will officiate. Burial will be in New Ritchie Cemetery.
