Deborah "Debbie" Ann Wood

Debbie was born in Lake Charles, LA and lived in Moss Bluff prior to moving to Ragley. She was a 1966 graduate of Marion High School. She was a devout member of St. Pius X Catholic Church of Ragley. Her greatest joy was taking care of her children and grandchildren and spending time with all her family. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, Chessley Wood; three sons, Jason Wood and wife, Selena of Longville, LA, Sean Wood and wife, Kristy of Longville, LA, and, Troy Wood of Ragley, LA; two brothers, Danny Fontenot of Ragley, LA, and Keith Fontenot of Iowa, LA; one sister, Joyce Canter of Moss Bluff, LA; seven grandchildren, Dene', Josie, Austin, Faith, Olivia, Riley, and Tatum.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Annie Fontenot; and one sister, Shirley Bruce.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11:00am Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at St. Theodore Catholic Church of Moss Bluff. The Msgr. Charles Dubois will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00-9:00pm Tuesday, October 29 with a rosary at 7:00pm and resume Wednesday 8:00am until service time in Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
