James Eugene Tingle, born 1/3/1954. James was born in a small town of Natchitoches, LA, as he referred to it as the “Red Dirt Country,” passed in his home where he is now at his final resting place on 9/6/2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his children, James D. Tingle and wife Monica of Sulphur, Ericka Hassler and husband Brandon of South Carolina, Mandy Steele and husband Jason of Ragley; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; mother of children, Priscilla; mother-in-law, Donatile Moore; two brothers; several nieces, and nephews.
James was a Free Mason and was proud that he was a great fitter/fabricator of metal and piping. He was generous to a fault and it has been said by many men that have worked with him, “That James taught them much about their career of pipefitting.” Over the last few years of retirement, his favorite passion was to spend his days on the front porch watching the sunrise and sunset, along with taking care of his animals, including the lizards. James loved to reminisce of life with people about the “good ol days.”
A Celebration of James' life will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 3:00pm. Visitation will begin on Saturday, starting at 2:00pm until the time of the service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonmossbluff.com.
