

John was a US Marine and Korean War Veteran. He was decorated with two Bronze Star Medals, Korean Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal. John was a dirt track racing driver, coached his sons to a little league soccer championship, and enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Long LeDoux; his five children, Belinda Honeywell and husband Dave of California, John LeDoux, Jr and fiance’ Kay Buchard, Charles LeDoux, Bryan LeDoux and wife Ginger, and Misty Smith and husband Steve, all of Moss Bluff; sister, Lois Trouard Oubre of Lake Charles; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvard and Evelina LeDoux; three brothers; and one sister.
His service will be Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and resume Sunday from 12 noon until service. Msgr. Charles Dubois and Pastor Paul Estes will officiate. Burial will follow at Grand Lake Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Heart of Hospice for their excellent care of Mr. LeDoux.
