Laura West

She enjoyed reading the Bible, teaching Sunday School, sewing, cooking, games, shopping with her daughters, and traveling with her church group. She enjoyed time with her family and friends. She was married for 63 years to Louis Ray West. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff, Louisiana and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and loved her family.

Survivors include her husband Louis Ray West of Moss Bluff; son Steve West and wife Marion, of Round Rock, Texas; daughter Debbie Bergstrom and husband Robert, of Port Neches, Texas; daughter Cindy Whitley and husband Blake, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; grandchildren Marla Tolls, Scott West, Kristi Christensen, Emily Bass, Lauren Lozada, and Brady Whitley; six great grandchildren; sister, Pat Minor and husband Tommy of Monroe, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her parents J.C. and Cleo Brady.

Her funeral will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012, at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the New Richie Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.
