

She was born on December 20, 1954 in Lake Charles. She loved her family, her friends, and most of all, loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was always a witness everywhere she went for Him. Lou Wanna started her bookkeeping and notary career at Calcasieu Marine Bank. Other jobs she did, was working at A.D. Ballard Construction, and Bayou Amusement “Grangers” for over 20 years, along with being an Aircraft Mechanic at Boeing. She also was a second grade teacher, and loved the kids she taught. She devoted most of her life to being a caregiver for her loved ones.
She is survived by two daughters, Tamra Parra Parker, Jessica Parra and fiancé Kelvin Mott; two brothers, Roger Faulk and wife, Hilda of Lake Charles, Gene Faulk all of Lake Charles; along with four grandchildren, Aaron “Gage” Vanicor, Hannah Nichole Bruce, Destiny Kayleigh Parker, Breegan Danielle Newble, all of Lake Charles; a sister-in-law, Miriam Parra Hebert Moore and husband, Charlie of Niceville, FL; her neighborhood adopted grandkids, Claire and Tyler; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
Lou Wanna is preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Raleigh Parra; her parents, Elmer Lonnie Faulk and Opal Loette Powell; along with two brothers, Steven Faulk and Jeffrey Scott Faulk.
Services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. E.J. McCann will be officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff from 5:00-9:00pm and will resume on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service.
