
Michael lived in Moss Bluff most of his life. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was very determined and outspoken. Michael loved to cook and enjoyed nature. He was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, doing yard work, and boating on the river. He also was a football fan. His favorite teams were the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Penny Parker, two sons Terry Reeves and wife Amber of Sulphur, La., Ricky Hopper of Moss Bluff, La., daughter Leslie Hurley and husband Matthew of LeBleu Settlement, La., two grandchildren, and brother Wayne Parker of Moss Bluff, La.
He is preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Beverly Parker, brother in-law Gary Roth, and great-nephew Jordan Sonnier.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Craig Bruney, Michelle and Theresa Roth, Bob Higginbotham, Wayne Parker and extended family members. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
