Reba Ann Gordon, 80, of Moss Bluff, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born to her late parents, Edward and Nettie McDaniel on February 8, 1941 in Leesville, LA. She loved going to her church, Eastwood Pentecostal Church and enjoyed making Peanut Brittle and Yeast Rolls. Shopping was a big part of her life, and she loved to dress up. Reba was a caregiver to everyone, and her home was always open to anyone who needed her. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
She is survived by her children, Jeannie Pruitt (Scott) of Ragley, Clifford Gordon (Kayla) of Moss Bluff, Winnie Briley (Steven) of Moss Bluff, Dennis Gordon (Sheila) of Moss Bluff; brother, Lavern McDaniel of Lake Charles; sisters, Allie Smith of Carlyss and Betty Ardoin (Wayne) of Carlyss; 12 grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Lyles, Rebecca Jeffers, Megan Whotte, Jake Pruitt, Micah, Cade, and Shanda Gordon, Andrea Evey, Austin, Andrew, and Torie Gordon; along with 26 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved.
Reba is preceded in death by her loving husband Clemet Gordon, Sr.; one son, Clemet Gordon, Jr.; five brothers, Charles, Wilbur, LeRoy, Paul, and Glen McDaniel; three sisters, Mary Ogea, June Hovatter, and Peggy Jean McDaniel.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 11:00am with Pastor Aaron Lopez officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at the funeral home from 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Creel Cemetery.
