Sanford Seaborn Nichols "Georgia Boy"

He was a native of Georgia and he lived in Moss Bluff since 1957. He was of the Baptist faith and worked for Dunham and Price for 56 years. He was always working and loved gardening, camping and watching on TV his favorite football team, the Georgia Bulldogs.

Sanford is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Edward Nichols and Vera Price Nichols; brothers, Dewey Nichols, Junior Frazier and Edward Nichols; sisters, Frances Lambert and Mildred Hall.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 52 years, Lillie Nichols; son, Wendell Nichols; daughter, Vickie Greer all of Moss Bluff; brothers, Clifford Nichols and wife, Gail of New Orleans and Ralph Nichols and wife, Zelda of Tallahassee, FL.; sister, Ann Hill; 4 grandchildren, Johnathon Conner, Jason Nichols, Bobby Nichols and Ryan Nichols and 2 great grandchildren, Addie Nichols and Ryan Nichols.

His funeral will be 2pm, Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Rev. Rusty Willis will officiate. Visitation will begin Friday 4pm-9pm and resume Saturday 9am until service time. Burial will be in Old Richie Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
