Donald George Mishler Jr.

Donald Mishler passed away on March 25, 2026, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 80. He was born in Cadillac, Michigan to the late Donald and Nellie “Porter” Mishler Sr. He spent a significant portion of his life residing in Louisville, Kentucky, since the mid 70’s. Throughout his career Don engaged in various occupations. This included owning a taxi company in Louisville, Kentucky and working as a truck driver for many years until the age of 80. Shortly before passing, he briefly worked at a store checking receipts at the entrance. Don loved riding motorcycles, going to stock car races, and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Family would like to express special thanks to Ashley and Leonardo for helping take care of Don in the most recent years of his life.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother, Robert Mishler; sister, Donnalu Mishler Aldridge; and niece, Kathy Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Sharon Mishler; daughter, Kelly Mishler; son, Donald Mishler and Greg Kelley Mishler; stepchildren, Licia Dunford (David), Sherrylee Seale, Billie Jo Seale, Ralph Thibodeau; grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Tom Mishler; nieces, Ronnie (Jack) Duncan, Vicki (Jack) Young; and nephew, Harley Ball.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home- Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Dr.) with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Friends and family may pay their respects on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 2:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
