Melissa Lewis

Melissa Ann “Missy” Lewis, age 59, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. She was born on September 1, 1966, in Valdosta, Georgia to Becky (Rowland) Woods and the late Ronnie Moon. Missy was the best mom. She loved taking care of people and loved the patients she served in assisted living facilities. Her family fondly describes her as “a firecracker” who spoke her mind. She also loved working in her yard, loved warm weather and spending time with her family at dirt track racing events. Her true passion was her family; spending time with her children and grandchildren is what Missy held most dear to her heart.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Paisley Shaver and her brother, Charlie Moon. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Dewayne Shaver (Angie Redmon), Ryan Storey, Ashley Lewis (Reid Popplewell), Jessica Robey and Samantha Robey; grandchildren, Kenley Shaver, Grace Shaver, Lexy Ethridge and Serenity Robey; mother, Becky Woods; sister, Kim Moon; loving companion, Steve Robey; fur babies, Charlie, Boo and Coco; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, KY, 40047.) with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, January 28th, 2026, from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home.
