Mr. Richard Carr

Mr. Richard “Rick” Carr, age 68, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, returned to his Heavenly Father Monday, May 4, 2026. Richard was born on October 29, 1957, in Louisville Kentucky to the late Clifford and Elizabeth “Cato” Carr.

Rick was a loving Husband, Father, Pappaw, Son, and Brother to his family. His biggest hobby was Stock Car Racing. He raced at Sportsdrome Speedway, Charlestown and at the Louisville Motor Speedway. Rick was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan. When he wasn’t cheering on the Wildcats, he enjoyed grilling, smoking meat, camping and watching Nascar. Rick took pride in his family and loved spending time and making memories with them. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Among those who preceded him in death are his parents; son, Ricky Paul; and brothers, Phillip Carr and Stanley Carr. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Linda Carr; children, Elizabeth Carr, Denise Paul with grand dog, Cali, Albert Paul (Michelle), Cindy Miller and Tammy Mills; nephew, Cliff Carr (Susan); grandchildren, DJ Miller (Julie), Farrah Collins, Kara Lasick, Nick Miller, Tucker Carr, Trenton Carr, Emma Jean Carr and Harley Carr; great grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Everest Johnson, Eden Johnson, Esma Johnson, Ella Collins and Bryson Miller; fur babies, Bandit and Bella; and host of other family and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Mt. Washington (123 Winning Colors Drive, Mt. Washington, Kentucky.) with burial to follow at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 11:00am until the time of service at the funeral home.
