Nécrologie de Bradley Scott Gunn
St. John, USVI- Bradly Scott Gunn, 42, entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2019 at his home on St. John in the Virgin Islands. Brad was born in Anderson, Indiana on December 2, 1976, to Carolyn (Thompson) Morgan and the late Bobby Gunn. He attended Highland High School and resided in Anderson for most of his life. In 2017, Brad traveled to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands on a mission to help with the recovery efforts following hurricanes Irma and Maria - a testament to his passionate nature and kind heart. Brad was a talented craftsman who greatly enjoyed turning wood into works of art. He shared this passion with his father, Bobby, and his brother, Nick. He also enjoyed building motorcycles in his free time. Brad was a master at any task or project he set his mind to. He loved to cook for his family and many laughs were shared over plates of food. Brad’s favorite hobby was fishing, the White River being the place he loved doing this most. He also enjoyed spear fishing in the Florida Keys and Virgin Islands. He could spend days in the water with a pole in hand. Brad will be remembered for his vibrant character and confident spirit. He brought out the best in the ones he loved and made them feel cared for and safe. Brad is survived by his daughter, Makinzee Gunn Horning, who inspired him daily and was the light of his life; his mother, Carolyn Morgan; grandfather, Melvin Thompson; seven siblings: Shane Thompson (Tracy), Nick Morgan (Erin), Kambra Gunn, Anne Gunn (Jacob Coppess), KC Gunn (Troy Roberts), Megan McMullen (Greg), and Miranda Gunn; stepmother, Annette Wright; stepfather, John Morgan; stepfather, Harry Morgan (Belenda); and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Brad was also a very special uncle to several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gunn, and maternal grandmother, Golda Mae Thompson. A celebration of Brad’s life will be held on September 21, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Madison County 40 & 8, 1600 S. Rangeline Rd. in Anderson. Casual attire is requested. A private ceremony for the family will be held at dusk on the banks of the White River. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Brad’s honor to Friends of the White River at https://friendsofwhiteriver.org/about-the-friends/donate/ Online condolences may be directed to the family at www.elmridgefuneralhome.com.
