Mr. Carl R. Barber

He was born on Saturday, June 12, 1948, the son of Hubert and Mary (Roland) Barber in Muncie, Indiana.

Carl had worked for thirty years as a tool and die maker at the Ontario Corporation in Muncie, Indiana.

He had served on the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department for ten years.

Carl is survived by his wife, Ann Barber; sons, Carl (Lisa) Barber, Jr.; Rodney (Stephanie) Barber, Audie (Darla) Barber, Robert Alford, Tony (Shannon) Alford; daughters, Ann Farmer, Cindy West, and Krystal (Andre) Burton; brother, Allen (Annie) Hicks; brother-in-law, Paul (Teresa) Long; sister, Pat Hicks; many grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Bill Alford, and a sister, Dee Long.

Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018.

It was Carl’s wishes that cremation will take place and no formal services be conducted.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
